. In June of 2006, Doug and Tracie Newenhouse purchased the former Holiday Inn of East Tawas. Their objective is to recreate a pleasant atmosphere for families and businessmen alike.

There is nothing like "Fun in the Sun" on our very own, sugar sand beach! Whether you prefer wading or swimming in the warm waters of Tawas Bay, sunbathing on the beach, playing volleyball or renting a jet-ski or paddle boat from Sunny Bunns, there's sure to be something for you! With a number of scheduled activities and events, our beach is the focal point of activity and fun for all ages during the summer months! Newest activity:  Guided Kayaking trips to the Lighthouse on weekends!

Nestled along the beautiful Tawas Bay shoreline in scenic Northeastern Michigan, the Tawas Bay Beach Resort is a four season playground! With eight fun and challenging golf courses nearby, swimming and boating in the summer, breathtaking fall colors during the autumn, and Nordic skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. For the outdoorsman, there is also spectacular fishing, and acres of prime public hunting areas.

It doesn't have to be summer to have fun at our beach. Topsiders Restaurant is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, offering daily lunch and dinner specials.  This is casual fine dining with a view of the bay!  Live bands or DJ in our lounge on the weekends, and comedy night on Thursdays in the winter. We are an ALL SEASON resort!
